Parents Contract
Sumkids Education Centre Transfer Clubs Terms and Conditions are designed to enable us to provide and maintain the highest standards of education and care and to ensure there is clarity about the contractual relationship between parents and Sumkids Education Centre. We set out below our standard conditions:
Welfare of the Child
We will do all that is reasonable to safeguard and promote your child’s welfare. Sumkids Education Centre will work with children, parents, and the community to ensure the welfare and safety of children.
Health and Medical Matters
If your child becomes ill during a session, the teacher in charge will contact the parent / carer or the emergency contact supplied. Parents must inform the centre immediately of any changes to these contact details. If your child is suffering from a communicable illness, they should not be brought to Transfer Club until such time as the infection has cleared.
Fees
All fees are charged monthly and must be paid within 7 days of receipt of the invoice. Fees will be invoiced to the person(s) named on the Registration Form by letter.
Fees are payable during periods of absence from the Transfer Club, including sickness and any holidays taken when Sumkids Education Centre is open. Every effort will be made to accommodate your child in an alternate class the week of his/her absence to ensure continuity.
Any parent(s)/Carer(s) having financial difficulties, or a change of circumstances should discuss this in confidence with the Sumkids Education Centre manager. Fees are reviewed annually and so any increases will only occur once during the year. Any such increase will be notified by the centre at least one term in advance of the increase being applied.
Two weeks’ written notice by either letter or personal message is required if you no longer require the Transfer Club place. If you wish to withdraw your child or make changes to your child’s sessions or days, fees will remain payable until such time. Fees will not be refunded or waived for absence through sickness or any other reason. This rule is necessary so that the centre can properly budget for its own outgoings, which continue whether all children are present or not and to ensure that the cost of individual default does not fall on other parents.
If the Centre must be closed due to any reason beyond the control of the centre, such as power failure or adverse weather conditions, a full refund will be given.
Unpaid Fees
If fees remain unpaid and go into arrears, a late payment fee may be applied to your account.
Belongings
Sumkids Education Centre does not accept responsibility for accidental damage or loss of property. Parents are requested that you keep your child’s personal items to a minimum. All resources required by students will be provided by the centre.
Photography
You should be aware that Sumkids Education Centre may take photographs within the setting which may be used in promotional material. Permission to photograph your child will be sought via a separate consent form. We adhere strictly to your preferences.
Safeguarding Children
Our current safeguarding policy is available on request from the centre manager.
Insurance
Sumkids Education Centre undertakes to maintain those insurances required by law. Details of these are available from the manager. Copies of the current Sumkids Education Centre Employer’s Liability and Public Liability Insurance Policies are available upon request.
Data Protection
It is a legal requirement for the centre to hold information about children using Sumkids Education Centre and its staff. Basic information is used for registers, invoices and for emergency contacts; however, all records are held securely.
Legal Contract
The offer of a place and its acceptance by parents gives rise to a legally binding contract on the terms of these Terms and Conditions and the Policies and Procedures of Sumkids Education Centre. It is important that parents and staff adhere to those terms, any queries about them should be raised with the centre Manager.
